In the coming weeks, you'll notice some big changes coming to our website and social media profiles - a brand new name and all new branding to match!
Since beginning this business in 2017, I have always sought to have a personal connection with every client and treat them as friends or family.
After all, experiencing the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal experience and selecting something as precious as an urn necklace shouldn't be treated as just any other purchase.
What you may not know is that I have been making jewelry for over 20 years and only made the decision to begin specializing in memorial jewelry after the loss of my own sweet fur baby, Essie.
Adopted at 14 months, Essie was a faithful and very special friend for nearly all of her 10-1/2 years on Earth. When she passed away 7 years ago from a cancer diagnosis that took her way too soon, I looked for a way to honor her memory and keep a part of her me every day.
At that time, I'd never heard of urn jewelry, let alone considered it as a unique addition to my then little Etsy shop. It was during those sad months following her loss that I discovered this precious jewelry and made a pendant for myself.
Fast forward 7 years and I have been blessed to have served over 15,000 clients as they seek to honor and remember their own loved ones.
While the brand, My Sweetest Memories, has always been a very appropriate name that perfectly embodied what we do here, it never really spoke to me on a personal level.
As I've always looked at this business as something deeply personal, to both myself and my customers, I wanted a brand that evoked a feeling of warmth and friendship. A place my customers could come and know they will be cared for and treated with respect and love.
I truly believe that our new brand name, Sarah & Essie, accomplishes all of the above and more.
For me, the new name is a way for me to honor the memory of a dog that was so much more to me than just a pet: she was my best friend, my constant companion and she taught me more about strength and perseverance in her short 10-1/2 years than I could have ever learned on my own in nearly 50.
Naming the site after her is my small way of giving her an ongoing legacy and keeping her memory forever alive.
For my clients, I hope the name becomes a symbol of everlasting friendship and love; one that runs deep long after our time on Earth is done.
I really hope you will love the new name and upcoming brand changes as much I do.
Please know that despite the new look and name, we are still the same dedicated small business that exists to serve you.
Don't hesitate to reach out, if we can help in any way.
With Love,
